Two promising youngsters born 2017 and 2019

Further down the page there is info about both parents as well as detailed statistics and info about their pedigree, pictures and films. I would like to sell to someone who is interested in these individuals because of their genes and characteristics and can train them well, take care of their qualities and give them a good life. /Lisa Mörtberg, breeder of the horses

Skáti -17 and Tími -19 are brothers sired by Goði frá Auðsholtshjáleigu (e. Orri frá Þúfu, ue. Ófeigur frá Flugumyri) and my mare Spá fra Reykjum 1 (e. Smári frá Skagaströnd, ee.Safír frá Vidvík, ue. Fákur frá Akureyri). I chose to use Goði because i believe his way of movement matches Spá and I think he reinforces and preserves her best sides, like her big movements, agility and wonderful soft character. Goði has strong assessment and competition results from a young age, which indicates high riding ability and natural talent, which he seems to inherit to his offspring together with a very good character. Both Orri, Ófeigur, Smári and Safír have over the years received a very large number of high quality offspring, so combining these genes should potentially be very good. Spá herself showed great talent already at a young age and competed as a 6-year-old in T2 at Íslandsmót (Her first competition was the qualification!). She is very agile by nature and has very high mobility.

The brothers are showing nice character and very good gaits with lots of movements and air! Both of them has got a fantastic trot with lots of suspention and are also showing tölt and canter. I hope and believe that they will grow up to be well built, friendly and agile tölthorses with naturally expressive gaits. The both seem very promising!

Skáti is at Stall Drivkraft in Ulricehamn. Spá and Tími at Skáneylands Islandshästar in Degeberga.

TÍMI FRÅN MÖRTBERG
Born 2019.05.31, stallion

Tími means “time”. I hope and believe that he will grow up to be a wise and friendly horse that suits the meaning of the name. He also took a long time coming into the world. His mother Spá resorbed a little sibling the year before he finally came! On his forehead he has a small white sign that you can interpret as a pointer. Tími is growing up in a large herd at Skáneyland Icelandic horses in Skåne together with about 20 other stallions and geldings, in summer in Drakamöllan’s nature reserve of 86 acres! (35 ha). Difficult to find a place better suited for a young horse to grow strong and brave! (He can stay at Skáneyland until he is ready for training, and there are also a lot of capable trainers in the area).

Tími has a lot in common with his big brother Skáti, but seems to have a longer and more slender neck, nobler head and perhaps he will also get more mane and tail when comparing their looks at the same age.

SKÁTI FRÅN MÖRTBERG Born 2017.04.29, gelding

The name Skáti (scout) is a tribute to my grandparents who were very active in swedish Scouting. I believe the name will suit his personality.

He has a fantastic trot with lots of suspension, and and a very good walk and it will be exciting to see how the tölt and canter will develop under rider, and also if there is any flying pace in him. He is in training at Stall Drivkraft in Ulricehamn.

He has quite spectacular movements and a very nice character. He is most likely fourgaited. At the moment he is about 140 cm high. (Still growing)

-Update 29/1. Skáti-17 has shown a lot of talent in training! He looks very promising and has exceeded all expectations! Because of his young age he is given a slow start. He has finished his first training period, after being ridden in walk and trot. On the lunge and in the field he also shows tölt and canter. He is cooperative and clever! He is now enjoying a well deserved rest. (If I get an offer I cant resist he is for sale, otherwise the intention is to keep him in training at Stall Drivkraft to see how he develops with more training).

ABOUT SPÁ FRÁ REYKJUM 1
(Not ever for sale! ;-))e. Smári frá Skagaströnd (Conf.: 7,85p, rid.: 8,67p, tot: 8,34p) 9,5 for general impression and mane- and tail, 9,0 for tölt and spirit.
u. Litla-Jörp frá Reykjum 1 (e. Fákur frá Akureyri)

Spá is a “4 1/2-gaied” mare with charisma and a wonderfully gentle character. She has naturally very large movements regardless if you are just taking her for an easy ride bareback enjoying nature or active training.
Spá showed a lot of talent at an early age and was qualifyed to Íslandsmót when she was six years old. (The qualification was her first competition! (T2)) In Sweden she has been competed very sparingly, mainly due to my non-existing nerves at competitions! 🙂 Her sister Kátina has a breeding assessment of 7,94p (rid.: 8,16p) and has been competing in Germany and is now a breeding mare at Walter Feldmanns. Spás mild charachter has made her suitable both for experienced and less experienced riders, and she has got so much natural talent and willingness to cooperate that she can make a hobby-rider feel like a star. She is the best buy of my life! Nowadays she is retired from riding. Miðill på Island.Spá is a “4 1/2-gaied” mare with charisma and a wonderfully gentle character.
